Established in 2012, Wattle is an independent creative software company that partners strategically with associations and not for profits. We use our technology to positively impact our clients organisations and their associated sectors. We do this by crafting exceptional member, donor and supporter experiences enabling our clients to positively impact our society, economy and country.

We believe that Wattle can make a contribution not just to our clients on their projects but also to the wider technology community. By investing in our people we can equip them with the technology skills that are needed in society. This investment in our teams growth will positively impact not only the individual in their own personal and professional development, but also the country as a whole by closing the emerging technology skill gaps.

What do we do?

We deliver integrated digital and customer relationship management solutions using a product stack called MemEx.  MemEx delivers unrivalled end to end membership management for membership organisations. Already in use throughout the membership sector, the platform unifies two of the sectors most popular technologies, Umbraco's CMS for website and portal development and Microsoft's Dynamics 365 CRM for marketing and membership management.

To enable the measurement and improvement of member engagement MemEx tracks and reports on every member interaction across the platform and, via integration with client CRM systems, can deliver a 360⁰ consolidated view of each member to the desktops of the Member Engagement team, giving them member level insight to deliver consistent, efficient experiences that enhances member engagement and improve retention and renewal rates.

Wattle are primarily targeting third sector organisations with the MemEx product offering. But we have repeatable success with professional bodies and trade associations.

Professional Bodies A professional body, also known as a professional association, professional organisation, or professional society, is an organisation seeking to further a specific profession, the interests of individual members engaged in that profession, and the public interest. Each body will maintain an oversight of the knowledge, skills, conduct and practice of a specific and commonly offers registration or certification of unregulated occupations.

Many professional bodies are involved in accrediting qualification, defining and examining the skills and competencies necessary to practice the profession, and granting professional certifications to indicate that a person is qualified in the subject area. Sometimes membership of a professional body is synonymous with certification. Membership of a professional body, as a legal requirement, can in some professions form the primary formal basis for gaining entry to and setting up practice within the profession.

Many professional bodies are non-profit organisations.

Trade Associations

A trade association, also known as an industry trade group, sector association or industry body, is an organisation founded and funded by businesses that operate in a specific industry.

Trade associations sit at the heart of their industry. They act as a representative body for the industry they represent, putting forward the collective view and position of its members. As the ‘industry voice’, trade associations speak on behalf of their members to government, agencies, regulators, the media and other opinion formers.

They participate in policy and public relations activities like advertising, education, publishing, lobbying, and political donations. Associations may offer other services, like trade shows and conferences, networking or charitable events and, training and accreditation.

Many trade associations are non-profit organisations.

What we enable our clients to do matters. The clients we work with represent industry sectors or raise funds for causes. Following are some examples...

The UK council for psychotherapy

The UK Council for Psychotherapy is the leading organisation for psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors in the UK.

At UKCP, they we want to see mental and emotional wellness fully realised as a human right.

Psychotherapy can help us in profound ways, not only in solving immediate issues but in transforming the way we think, feel and behave. It can unlock our potential by improving our relationship with ourselves and with others. This not only benefits the individuals receiving therapy, it also impacts their families, friends, colleagues and communities.

This UKCP website that Wattle developed was aimed to make the Find a Therapist tool more accessible and to ensure vulnerable individuals, and those in need of help, could find what they needed when they needed it.
